I can’t believe it’s snowdrop time of year again – as soon as these beautiful white plants start flowering it really makes it feel as if spring is just around the corner.

Although we will have lots of snowdrops around the woods and lawns at Corsewall Estate Holiday Cottages, there’s nothing quite like getting out and about on a Sunday and taking a trip over to Logan Botanic Gardens where the displays and drifts of these delicate winter flowers never fail to disappoint.

Snowdrops at Logan Botanic Gardens

With this in mind, we’re offering special snowdrop weekend packages for our guests in February and March.  Any guest booking a weekend at any one of our four cottages will be given free entry to Logan plus a hot drink and cake or tray bake at the Garden’s award winning cafe, The Potting Shed.

An impressive display at Logan Botanic Gardens

Logan Botanic Gardens is open on Sundays throughout February and from 1st March, the Gardens will be open every day right through to 15th November.  I’m very much looking forward to our own visit there to see the swathes of snowdrops.  It’s not just Galanthus, to give them their Latin name, early flowering camellias and rhododendrons will provide lots of colour too.
