We currently have six holiday properties available to rent, having just launched our cottage, Home Farm Cottage, in Kirkcolm. All of our properties have been refurbished to the highest standards. Four of them are all located on the historic Corsewall Estate on the coast, with a house in Portpatrick beside the golf course, and an additional luxury city-centre apartment in Edinburgh.

Corsewall Estate Surroundings
The location of the four cottages – Garden, Stables, Home Farm Cottage and High Clachan – are exceptional. For Stables and Garden Cottages, the gardens provide a secure environment for children and it’s a magical spot for them to enjoy the great outdoors and play good old fashioned games from hide and seek to kick the can and football. The lawns are great for running about and there are lots of grassy banks – ideal for rolling down.
Families are welcome to set up camp in the woods beside the lawns – we provide the tent, roll mats, wood and campfire location – guests just need to bring their baked beans and sleeping bags! And if it all gets too much for younger members, they can always retreat back to home comforts indoors.
Located in over 20 acres of gardens and woodland adjacent to Corsewall House, there are lots of tracks around the Estate you can enjoy – on foot or by bike. This also makes it a great holiday for dogs too!
A stream runs through the Estate, so with two stone bridges and an endless supply of sticks, Pooh sticks is always a fun game for children to play. There is oodles of wildlife to spot too from red squirrels to roe deer and owls to wood peckers.
Corsewall Estate has three pretty beaches on Loch Ryan – Boat Bank, Lady Bay and Port Beg – that our cottage guests can explore. A walk down one of the drives will take you to Boat Bank Beach, which is the nearest one to Garden and Stables Cottage. This shore and Lady Bay are wonderful spots if you like shell collecting – oyster and scallop shells to mussels and cowries never fail to disappoint. Bird watching is second to none.
Three quarters of a mile from High Clachan, Port Beg is a pretty bay. A pebbly beach down to the waterline and sandy in the sea, at low tide it’s ideal for paddling and swimming. There are lots of rock pools, so a bucket and net is a must for the kids! There’s a grassy area for picnics and the views out to sea to Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran are magical.
Our self catering Portpatrick house is right next door to the Portpatrick Dunskey Golf Club on Golf Course Road and has wonderful sea views over the Irish Sea. Portpatrick is a charming fishing village with a harbour and sandy beach – which is ideal for picnics, enjoying an ice cream, paddling or bucket and spading. It’s an ideal house for a family holiday in Galloway or a group golfing trip to south west Scotland.
