Available for New Year, Stables Cottage, with its log burning stove, is a cosy cottage option for 4 people. With two bedrooms it’s ideal for a family or a small group of friends getting away together to celebrate Hogmanay in style on the coast. The cottage has a games room in one of the old stables opposite and it’s only a 10-minute walk along one of our woodland walks down to the sea.

All our Dumfries & Galloway holiday cottages for Christmas come decorated for the festive season with a beautiful tree, complete with baubles, twinkly lights and a welcome wreath on the front door. Plus, we provide some delicious edible touches such as home-made mince pies to tuck into on arrival. That’s in addition to the generous welcome hamper that our guests receive, packed full of goodies from shortbread, coffee and homemade brownies to a loaf of sourdough bread, butter and Galloway Lodge jam.

Outdoor Adventures
Corsewall Estate is the place for outdoor adventures this festive season. Head outside for a bracing walk along one of the Estate’s pretty sandy beaches, discover Corsewall Estate’s extensive woodland walks and coastal paths and explore some of Galloway’s dramatic coastline, rocky shores and sandy beaches.
If wild swimming is your thing, go for a bracing dip at Lady Bay, one of the prettiest beaches on the Estate. It’s a relatively sheltered cove, so it’s popular with our guests who like to brave the water in winter.

At night-time, being close to the Dark Skies Park, a cottage on Corsewall Estate is an ideal place to stargaze. You never know, on a clear night, you might just see Father Christmas and Rudolph on their rounds.
