Estate Activities
We’ve got lots to keep children busy outdoors on the estate. The woods beside the lawns close to Garden Cottage and Stables Cottages are a dedicated children’s fun zone. There’s a singles tennis court beside the walled garden.

Dumfries & Galloway is bursting with sights to see and activities to get your teeth into during your stay in our self catering accommodation. Here are a few suggestions to whet your appetite.
Golf Courses
Come and stay in one of our luxurious holiday cottages, which are ideal as a base to explore all the many magnificent golf courses in the nearby vicinity. See our map and links for their locations.
Mountain Biking
Get to grips with the great outdoors during your stay. The 7Stanes is a series of seven amazing and varied mountain biking centres located across Wigtownshire, Kirkcudbrightshire, Dumfriesshire and the Borders in the east.
Beaches
Wigtownshire and the Rhins of Galloway are endowed with numerous and spectacular beaches, and during your stay here at Corsewall, you won’t have to get up early to book your place on the golden sands.
Walking
We have a huge range of walks to enjoy while staying in one of our cottages – from our spectacular woodland walks and coastal paths to the gardens of Glenwhan and Castle Kennedy.
Gardens
There are many beautiful gardens in the immediate area, including Castle Kennedy, Logan Botanic Garden, Glenwhan, Threave near Castle Douglas and Logan House Port Logan – all with their very varied landscapes and plant species.
Bird Watching
The area around Corsewall Estate is a haven for bird watchers and a self catering stay in one of our cottages is the ideal base for daily birding trips. We’ve highlighted some of the more notable local viewing points in the links and on our map.
Festivals
There are various events and festivals throughout the year for you to visit, all within easy driving distance our holiday cottages. See the blog for news of upcoming events.
Where to Eat
All of our self catering cottages come with fully equipped kitchens, but we know that everyone deserves at least one night off, especially on their holidays. Please feel free to ask us about any of the local establishments.
Places To Visit
There are many pretty towns and villages to see and places to visit in Dumfries and Galloway. Nearby is the historic harbour village of Portpatrick with a pretty harbour as its focal point and a number of good pubs, restaurants and cafes.
